ARTIFACT: This is a sterling silver sweetheart wing from the Royal Flying Corps, the over-land air arm of the British military during World War I. The pin shows the RFC insignia wreathed by laurel leaves and flanked by spread wings with a crown atop.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI.

SIZE: 2-1/8" wing.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in swivel catch.

MARKINGS: RYRIE STERLING on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This wing is from a British Royal Flying Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJL97 LBCEX

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Wing shows an overall tarnish and minimal wear on wings.
