ARTIFACT:
This is a Beautiful & Rare mid - 1950's Pasadena California Police Reserve Sergeant Badge by Entenmann.
Apparently it was used for a very short period, and the Reserve used a different seal than the Regular Police Department Issue badges.
Regular Department Sergeant Badges also did not use the Stripes at bottom, placing the badge number in that panel.
The Reserves had the control number on the back, in this case, 155R, the R denoting Reserve.
VINTAGE:
Mid - 1950's.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-1/2" in height and 2-5/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.
MARKINGS:
ENTENMANN
LOS ANGELES
155R
ITEM NOTES:
This is from a California police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. PCGBL21 LGGEX02/03/21 SGGEX11/14/21
CONDITION:
9 (Excellent): The badge shows only extremely light duty wear, on front on the high points at center, and on the lower corners of the "stripes" panel.
On back there is light wear at the outer edges near the middle of the badge, and at the top of the hinge and locking catch.
There IS one super-tiny nick & flake at the upper edge of the "stripes" panel, but overall the badge really is in wonderful condition.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
