ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa 1943 United States Navy Electric Boat Co. submarine badge. Begun in 1892, Elco manufactured several types of boats, including yachts, power boats and boats for the United States Coast Guard and Navy. The badge is in plated steel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943 (World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and 2-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The badge you receive will either be the one pictured or one in similar condition. This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MACXL06 LAGEX12/11 SAGEX05/19

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows some areas of moderate wear.
