ARTIFACT: Scarce WWII United States Army Air Forces Combat Crew patch. This example a variant embroidered on felt and removed from a scrapbook. The center shows a and embroidered, three-blade propeller and the sides are embroidered in yellow, white, and red detail and along the top it reads: "COMBAT CREW".

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 4" in height x 3-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered felt, cotton/polyester/silk threads, mesh backing

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto uniform.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX16 LAFEX12/16 SAFEX02/22/18

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear and soiling, the reverse shows scrapbook remnants, overall very fine condition.
