ARTIFACT: This is a scarce World War II distinctive insignia in plastic for the 29th Infantry, Massachusetts State Guard. The DI is by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, New Jersey. The DI shows the Arm of Miles Standish at the top of the crest and reads STATUS ET PATRIA (State and Nation) below.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plastic.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin, plastic saddle.

MARKINGS: WHITEHEAD & HOAG.

ITEM NOTES: The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months MBJX13 LHEX8/13 S(1)GJX9/15

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent): The DI has some light wear only.
