ARTIFACT: This is a Scarce Used Example Early WWII Kiska Task Force Printed Cotton Shoulder Patch. This is the more oft-encountered version with the curved guard and large spacers on the handle. Some members of the task force were also associated with the First Special Service Forces. Kiska is an Aleutian island that the Allied Forces "invaded" in 1943 but the outcome was rather anticlimactic as the Japanese had already deserted the island upon the troops' arrival. The patch is printed on soft cotton cloth material and shows a downward stabbing dagger.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed soft cotton.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: N/A

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.  TRGX19 LAGEX01/08/20 SAGEX11/15/20

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor wear, much of the printed details remain, overall excellent condition.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
