ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa 1996 pilot hat badge for the short-lived Air Train (or Jet Train) Airlines. Established as Air Train in 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company promptly changed its name to Jet Train to avoid confusion with AirTran. The center of the badge shows many airplane silhouettes radiating outward into a compass design.

VINTAGE: Circa 1996.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization post.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAEX13 LIEX9/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows very little wear and some minor scuffing on reverse.
