ARTIFACT: This is a Scarce Late/Rost WWII US Army 69th Inf division Patch Type DI.

The 69th Infantry Division, nicknamed the "fighting 69th," was a Division of the United States Army formed during World War II. It is distinct from the 69th Infantry Regiment.The shoulder sleeve insignia of the division was designed by its then commander Maj. Gen. Charles L. Bolte with the red, white and blue being the colors of the United States.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" x 7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass and Enamel

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with undre-come locking catch.

MARKINGS: IE

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United state Army DI collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAM18 LCHX05/30/19

CONDITION:  8+ (Excellent): The DI shows minor wear, nearly all the enamel details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
