ARTIFACT: This is a scarce, large Motto WWII United States Army 5307th Composite Unit shoulder patch removed from scrapbook. The 5307th was known as "Merrill's Marauders", named for Brigadier General Frank Merrill. The shoulder patch is shield-shaped and divided into quadrants, two blue and two green, showing a white sun and star separated by a diagonal red lightning bolt. A tab-shaped area above the shield reads: "MERRILL'S MARAUDERS" in red embroidery detail. This patch came along with a CBI 'Reverse Top' Theater patch, see link below.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/8" x 3-7/8".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in silk/cotton threads.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows minor wear, some scrapbooking remnants on reverse, overall excellent condition.
