ARTIFACT: Scarce circa 1947 -1950 United States Army Pilot wing pinback in sterling by Balfour. This example shows the US Shield in the center with a top of thin horizontal line embellishments and below, vertical stripes. The shield is unpierced at the sides.

VINTAGE: Circa 1947 -1950

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" x 5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated sterling

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "LGB STERLING"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX15 LBBEX3/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The wing shows minor to moderate wear, some of the plating details remain intact.
