ARTIFACT: Scarce circa 1900 Civil War Veterans League member lapel stud. The shield shaped stud shows a nicely embellished letter "V" between the letters: "U" and "L", all in raised detail. Along the top of the shield it shows the dates: "1861" and "1865" and the outer edge features a border of five pointed stars.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" x 3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze

ATTACHMENT: Lapel stud

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The lapel stud shows minor wear, overall handsome patina.
