ARTIFACT:
This is a 1946 United States Navy "The Log" yearbook for the 43rd Construction Battalion ("Seabees"). This hardcover book offers a history on the Battalion, as well as several black and white photos of the 43rd's activities, including the devastation they witnessed after the Nagasaki bombing. The cover has an embossed emblem on its cover. The book comes with a two page ordering form for a "Seabees" plaque made by Service Gifts Company of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Circa 1946.

151 pages with black and white photographs; approximately 12-1/8" in height and 9-1/8" in width and 3/4" in thickness.

Embossed cloth-covered cover, glossy paper.
