ARTIFACT: Scarce 1930's Boston, Massachusetts Auxiliary Police badge with interesting makeshift repair from period of use. The shield shaped, nickel plated brass badge is numbered: "4503" in the center and surrounding reads: "AUXILIARY POLICE BOSTON" in black painted detail.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 2-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, black paint

ATTACHMENT: Interesting period-of-use replacement, brass safety style pin that makes use of the original "C" catch (see photo).

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX16 LAAEX6/16

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine—Very Fine): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, period replacement of pin, some of the plated and painted details remain intact, overall fine condition.
