ARTIFACT: This is a scarce 1930s medal for the 245th Coast Artillery Corps of the New York National Guard. The medal is by Robbins Company and was struck for a one mile relay race.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel. silk.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin on bar with safety-style catch, suspension ring.

MARKINGS: 1 MILE RELAY ROBBINS CO STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJX12 LHEX2/12

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The medal shows some light to medium wear and tarnish with all enamel intact; ribbon has some small areas of moderate wear and discoloration.
