ARTIFACT: Scarce 1920's Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. numbered worker badge by JR Gaunt. The round, nickel-plated brass badge shows the entwined letters: "B A Co. LTD." in raised detail and the reverse shows the number: "7122" and the bottom features a maker's mark that reads: "JR GAUNT LONDON". The Bristol Aeroplane Co. faced both failures and successes in aircraft manufacturing, a great success was the F.2B Bristol Fighter. The aircraft was a top aircraft of the First World War and in the 1920's, it became a mainstay of the Royal Air Force and remained in service until the early 1930's.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Lapel stud

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the nickel plating remains intact, overall handsome patina.
