ARTIFACT: Scarce 1890's Georgetown, Massachusetts Police radiator badge. The center reads: "POLICE" and above: "GEORGETOWN" and below shows a shield bearing the number "2" in black painted detail. The outer edge shows a nicely detailed wreath-like border with floral embellishments. Small Massachusetts town with a very small department especially during this period.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 2-3/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, black paint

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety style pin with "C" type catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-KDB-25-16 LBIEX11/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the plated and painted details remain, overall very fine condition.
