ARTIFACT: This is a restricted 1944 United States Army (War Department) and United States Navy booklet entitled "A Pocket Guide to France." This is a guide to the country, people and customs of France given to servicemen preparing to take part in the D-Day Invasion. There is a two-page spread of a French map in the center, and several useful phrases and words translated from English.

VINTAGE: Published 1944.

SIZE: 36 pages; approximately 6-3/8" by 4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Construction paper cover; paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: N on back cover.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII United States Army & Navy pocket guide book collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX98 LDEX2/14 SDEX05/20

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The book has some light to moderate wear and discoloration with many creased/dog eared pages.
