ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II submarine commissioning program from Boston Navy Yard for the USS Ling (SS-297). Launched August 15, 1943, the Ling was commissioned June 8, 1945. Joining the war effort late in the game, the Ling still managed to earn one battle star for WWII service. She is now a museum located in Hackensack, New Jersey. The program comes with the original card used as an admittance ticket to the ceremony.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945.

SIZE: Approximately 8-7/8" in height and 5-15/16" in width (when folded).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Textured card stock, oaktag.

ATTACHMENT: None (folded).

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII USN submarine commissioning program collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCX13 LIEX6/14 SIEX06/20

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The program has a few very small spots of discoloration near the top edge.
