ARTIFACT:
This is a rare World War II United States Navy pilot wing in a shirt size by Josiah Odence. The wing is gilt sterling silver and has very nice detailing. A USN shirt size Pilot wing of the WWII period by this maker is actually more scarce than the full size USN Pilot wing. For many years the maker mark on this wing was erroneously believed to be that of the J. F. O'Brien company of Madison, NJ, but the mark was finally positively ID'd as that of the JOSIAH ODENCE company in early 2017.

Approximately 11/16" in height by 2-1/16" in width.
