ARTIFACT: Rare WWII United States Army Air Forces Senior Service Pilot wing in sterling by Meyer. The center is a shield bearing a letter: "S" and flanked with feather detailed wings. The shield is topped with a five point star and the reverse shows a nice maker's mark and reads: "STERLING".

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 1-1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "STERLING" and Meyer maker's mark

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection, which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX16 LGGEX7/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The wing shows minor to moderate wear, much of the plating details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
