ARTIFACT: This is a Rare World War II United State Maritime Service Radio Officer Bullion Hat Badge. The United States Maritime Service was established in 1938 under the provisions of the Merchant Marine Act of 1936 as voluntary organization to train individuals to become officers.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately Badge: 3" x 3" Band: 25-3/16" x 1-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidered in bullion and silk/cotton threads

ATTACHMENT: Elasticized band.
