ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II Army Air Transport Command flight radio operator wing worn by Wally Johnson. This wing shows to lightning bolts on its medallion, and is probably the rarest of the ATC half wings. Pictured above are Johnson and his ship, the USS President Garfield.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in height 2-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJX11 LEGEX5/11 TrEGEX11/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has light wear and some small areas of handsome tarnish.
