ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War I United States Marine Corps officer collar eagle, globe and anchor in the so-called Ellis Type. The EGA underwent a period conversion to a pinback for wear on an overseas cap. Complete your collar and hat badge set with this rare badge!

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" in height x 1-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Patinated Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Diagonal pin on bar with tongue-style catch, formerly single screw post with disc backing; period conversion.

MARKINGS: No mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRADJXX11 LEIEX2/12 SEIEX12/18

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The EGA shows some areas of light wear and has a handsome tarnish.
