ARTIFACT: Rare, very early gasoline service station hat badge circa 1900's of Crew Levick of Philadelphia. The company later merged with Cities Service Oil, which eventually to become CITGO. The slightly convex, diamond-shaped badge reads: "CREW LEVICK" in black enamel detail.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" x 3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel, black enamel

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and two stabilizer pins

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an oil and gasoline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX99 LAAGEX2/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, stabilizer pins are bent, much of the plating and enamel details remain intact.
