ARTIFACT: This is the rarest of all of the World War II United States Army Air Forces "Pointie-Talkie" Booklets: No. 6 for escape and evasion in Russia. It was printed up late in WWII for use by Air Crews that might land in Russian territory during attacks in Japan. Nagasaki and Hiroshima saw to it that this version of the Pointie-Talkie saw little use.

VINTAGE: Circa June 1945.

SIZE: About 4-1/4" in width by 5-1/4" in height with 32 pages including covers.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Pointie-Talkie No. 6 prepared for Air Combat personnel by The Military Intelligence Service Washinton, D. C. June 1945.

ITEM NOTES: The Pointie-Talkie booklet worked similar to an expanded blood chit, not only telling locals that you were a "good guy", but also helping you to communicate with them. MDEX05 LAFEX04/10 SAFEX10/13 VBEX99 LAFEX04/11 SAEJX07/02/19 CON-EDK-25-15 LAFEX03/15 SAFEX04/10/22 REPvSAEEX

CONDITION: 9 (Excellent-Near Mint): The booklet is perfect and unused but does have minor yellowing to the cover at the binding.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
