ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operational wings badge in a pin-back. This badge was given to a crew member for the completion of at least one tour, or awarded posthumously for at least one sortie against the enemy resulting in death. The badge is in sterling silver by Birks, and is a small winged "O".

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/8" in height and 1-1/2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: BIRKS STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII Royal Canadian Air Force insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJX14 LCFJX3/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some light wear and minor tarnishing.
