ARTIFACT: Rare, late Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) 49th Annual Encampment 1928 combination American Legion celluloid pin. The pinback features a five point with the letters: "US" in the center and surrounding it reads: "AMERICAN LEGION". The celluloid 'ribbon' beneath reads: "49TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT G.A.R. DEPARTMENT OF INDIANA COLUMBUS 1928"

VINTAGE: Circa 1928.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in width x 2-7/8" in length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, steel.

ATTACHMENT: Straight pin.

MARKINGS: None.
