ARTIFACT: RARE late 1960's United States Naval Postgraduate School Aviation Safety Course jacket patch. The center of the patch shows a torch, book, and anchor chain and it reads: "1909". Just above the center shield is a half-wreath surrounding an anchor. The patch reads: "NAVAL POST GRADUATE SCHOOL", "PRAESTANTIA PER SCIENTIAM" (Excellence through Knowledge), "AVIATION SAFETY COURSE".

VINTAGE: Circa late 1960's

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/4" x 3-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered on twill, cotton/polyester/silk thread, gauze backing

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USN collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX15 LHEX11/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear mostly to edges, was removed from clothing, overall excellent condition.
