ARTIFACT:
Rare late 1950's Spanish Armed Traffic Police Mobile Team badge in gilt, silvered, and enameled brass. The badge is in excellent original condition and features a silvered brass automobile in the center with a beautiful red enamel background, the letters "PAT" are shown in blue enamel at the top of the badge and below it reads: "BANDERA MOVIL" in blue enamel, all letters and borders of enamel are done in bright brass detail. Established in 1941, the Armed Police and the Armed Traffic Police were served with a mission of "total surveillance and enforcement where necessary" the civil guard took over the responsibilities of the Armed Traffic Police division in 1959. Becoming an Armed Police requires an invitation, prior military service, as well as at least four months of specialized training, similar to a "National" Highway Patrol (Like NHSP) organization.

Gilt, silvered, and enameled, two piece, stamped brass construction.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical 'T' style brass pin with stabilizer prongs and a 'C' style catch.

9- (Excellent+): The badge shows minor surface wear and oxidation, nearly all the silvered and enamel details remain fully intact, overall excellent condition.
