ARTIFACT: Rare late 1940's United States Air Force 369th Bomb Squadron, medium jacket patch from when the squadron was first assigned to the MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. MacDill would be the squadron's final assignment after becoming a highly decorated squadron through their engagement in the Air Offensives in Germany and occupied Europe, as well as reconnaissance missions in the Soviet Union. The center of the embroidered patch shows a wasp/mosquito/bee wearing boxing gloves and standing on a black cloud or perhaps bomb and reads: "FITIN BITIN" in black embroidered detail.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940's

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/2" x 4-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered heavy canvas, silk/polyester/cotton threads

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows minor to moderate wear and soiling, the colors remain bright, overall very fine condition.
