ARTIFACT: This is a rare leather jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 386th or 387th Bomb Squadron, 312th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force which belonged to Major Joseph B. Bilitzke, squadron commander. The patch shows a skeleton riding a missile and thumbing his nose-hole at the enemy and has Major Bilitzke's name on reverse

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 6-1/8" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk-screened leather patch.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: LT. BILITZKE handwritten on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJJX09 LHEJX4/10 SHEJX10/10

CONDITION: 5+ (Fine-): Patch shows heavy wear with creasing and areas of discoloration.
