SUBJECT: This is a rare, early World War II Pratt & Whitney / United Aircraft Auxiliary Defense Corps badge and manual. The badge is numbered 1477 and the manual is eleven pages.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Badge: approximately 1-7/16” in diameter: manual: approximately 6-5/16” in height and 4-7/16” in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Painted metal, paper, oaktag.

ATTACHMENT: Badge: horizontal safety-style pin; manual: staples.

MARKINGS: 1477 on badge; AUGUST 1942 inside manual.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aircraft company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX02 LABEX9/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine- Overall): The badge has seen heavy wear and is discolored on the front and completely rusted on reverse; the manual is in excellent condition with some rusting on the staples.
