ARTIFACT:
This is a Rare Early World War I French Fix Type Eagle Aviation Patriotic Badge in Gilt Bronze by ORIA.
This is a French World War I pilot wing insignia. Such insignia were used to identify and honor individuals who had completed training and were designated as military pilots. Here are a few specific aspects of this insignia:
