ARTIFACT: Rare early type United States Army Special Forces 'skull' type distinctive insignia by Denmarks (6D). This rendition of the Special Forces Regimental Insignia is made with the early smiling skulls design, crossed arrows, and dagger in the center, along the bottom it reads: "DE OPPRESSO LIBER".

VINTAGE: Circa early 1960's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enamel, chrome plated brass, brass (clutchbacks).

ATTACHMENT: Double posts with clutchbacks.

MARKINGS: "6D" on DI, "BALLOU REG'D" on clutchbacks

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army distinctive insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRVGEX TRAJM15 LCJJX11/15 SCJJX02/15/21

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The DI shows minor wear, small spot of oxidation on the dagger that does not detract, nearly all the plating and enameled details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
