ARTIFACT: Rare, early Maine State Traffic Officer Badge with an extremely low number. The raised center of the badge depicts the Maine State Seal in lovely detail and surrounding it reads: TRAFFIC OFFICER" in letters with black painted detail and is numbered "29", this badge pre-dates the Maine State Police established in 1921.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 2 1/8" x 1 ¾"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX95 LGGEX4/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): Badge shows minor to moderate wear, mostly to high points, nearly all of the painted details remain fully intact.
