ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1930s rank or sleeve rate for the Citizens' Military Training Camps (CMTC) naval boat training. Several camps across the nation were run during the summer from 1921 through 1940, and providing military training to young men without them requiring to commit to active service. The wool patch is embroidered with an eagle and a life preserver upon an anchor, all above three chevrons.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 5" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a CMTC collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. ebay VBEX13 LAAEX9/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The rate has only some light wear.
