On the 2nd type constructed badge, the pin sits diagonally on the reverse of the badge and the catch is a drop-in type locking catch. The badge shows a winged rattlesnake about to strike and reads 102.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1920s.

SIZE: About 7/8" height and 2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin and an open "e;tongue-type" C catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING D&C with maker's mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJJX06 LAAEJX 4/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge has light wear and tarnish.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
