ARTIFACT: This is a Rare circa World War I Shop Made Southern Steel Company Worker Badge #115 from San Antonio Texas. Makers of Prison Cells, Door, & Locks. I've seen a few Southern Steel, and Southern Prison, Badges, but none were hand shop made like this one.

VINTAGE: World War I.

SIZE: Approximately: 1-3/4" in height x 1-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel Plated brass with steel wire pin, affixed with lead solder and painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: SOUTHERN 

STEEL CO

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge shows little to minor wear, and it is in excellent condition. Makers of Prison Cells, Door, & Locks. I've seen a few Southern Steel, and Southern Prison, Badges, but none were hand shop made like this one.
