ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1956 KPAR TV sterling lapel pin in the form of an early television camera. KPAR, now KTXS-TV is located in Abilene, Texas and is an ABC Affiliate. It was originally a CBS affiliate located in Sweetwater, but by the 1970's had received so many citations from the FCC and subsequently lost most of its stations – this led to the change in name and affiliation. The pin reads: "KPAR" along the top in black enamel lettering and beneath it reads "-TV TELEVISION" surrounded by black enamel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1956

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" x 7/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled sterling

MARKINGS: "STERLING"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a television and entertainment collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX16 LAAEX4/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The pin shows moderate wear, much of the plating and enamel details remain intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
