ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1945 – 1948, early Occupation Period United States Air Transport Command, German-made shoulder patch. The patch depicts an aircraft sailing past the globe and displays different colored bars in code around the border in red, white, and blue detail.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945-48

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered, silk/polyester/cotton threads

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX16 LEEX10/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows minor to moderate wear and soiling, the colors remain bright, light adhesive residue on reverse, overall very fine condition.
