ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful and rare US-made Free French Navy BB-15 Richelieu battleship badge. The badge shows a scroll with the Latin text: Furentibus Eminet Austris, meaning "Stronger than the Southern Winds."

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Approximately 1 3/8" in height by 1 ¼" in width (3.5cm by 3.2cm).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated nickel with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine) This badge shows some wear and tarnishing but is in a generally good condition.
