ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1920 – 1924 great Japan boys combined baseball and softball association's honor medal. The round medal shows a strand of laurel leaves horizontally through the center of two crossed baseball bats. The top center of the medal features a raised sun-like embellishment that shows the letters: "DYS" or "YDS" intertwined in the center. Below the crossed bats is an intricately detailed royal crown and the reverse shows Japanese kanji

VINTAGE: Circa 1920 – 1924

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" x 1-2/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Loop for attachment to chain

MARKINGS: Japanese kanji

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Japanese sports collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEM16 LHEX3/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The medal shows minor to moderate wear mostly to high points, much of the plated details remain intact.
