ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1914 First Canadian Expeditionary Forces provisional collar badge, given to enlisted personnel. The badge is made in the shape of a maple leaf with a crown in the middle that has the number 1 on it. Under the crown reads "CANADA" in capital letters.

VINTAGE: Circa 1914

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" x 1

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper.

ATTACHMENT: Broken Lugs

MARKINGS: "1. CANADA.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Canadian badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJL16 LFEX02/17

CONDITION: 5 (Very Good-Fine): This badge has a lot of wear, namely the lugs on the back are broken. The front, however, is in very good condition with light tarnishing.
