ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1910 Boston & Maine Railroad china dinner platter by Maddock China, Leominster, New Jersey (Trenton). The platter is oval shaped and reads: "BOSTON AND MAINE RAILROAD" along the top. The mark on the underside of the platter reads: "Mitchell Woodbury Co. Boston, Mass." Mitchell Woodbury was a distributor located on Pearl Street in Boston and was bought by the Maddock Pottery Company in 1892.

VINTAGE: Circa 1870's

SIZE: Approximately: 10-1/2" x 7 -1/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Porcelain ceramic

MARKINGS: "M CHINA L Mitchell Woodbury Co. BOSTON MASS."

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): Platter shows moderate wear, all the painted details remain intact.
