ARTIFACT: This is a Rare & Beautiful WWI Era United States Food Administration Official Investigator Badge. The Food Administration was established in 1917 for the regulation of reserve food supplies, especially wheat, for the Allied nations. The pin shows a brightly enameled starred and striped crest at its center encircled by a border of wheat.

VINTAGE: WWI

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal T-style pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N/A

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): There is little wear to the obverse, including some surface scratches and tarnish.
