ARTIFACT: This is a rare and unique hand-painted submarine jacket patch for the United States Navy's USS Crevalle SS-291. The patch reads USS CREVALLE SS-291 "THE HORRIBLE HARDTAILS" and shows a fish using his tail to hit an enemy on the head with a missile.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4-1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-painted canvas patch.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows very light wear but has slight discoloration.
