ARTIFACT: This is a rare United States Army Air Forces book entitled "451st Bomb Squadron"e;, a World War II unit history of the squadron. The book has several photos of the 451st's actions as well as a list of their combat missions and casualties. Many photos document the unit's travels, including to Beauvais-Tille, France, Belgium and Germany. The book's cover is embossed with a great 451st insignia: a gorilla dressed in a football uniform and goggles who is about to hurl a bomb from atop a cloud.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II

SIZE: 190 pages with black and white photographs (some one-color colorized); approximately 11-1/4" in height and 8-3/4" in width and 13/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound embossed cover, glossy paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The book has some light wear to the cover; inside has no rips, stains or writing.
