ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1944 United States Army Air Forces "issue" flight nurse wing in gold plated sterling silver. The center of the wing shows a caduceus bearing the letter "N". This wing is unusual in that it has a reversed content marking.

VINTAGE: Circa 1944 (World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 11/16" in height and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts with clutchbacks.

MARKINGS: ACID TEST; STERLING SIL. (reversed).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII US Army Air Forces wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MADJX14 LEGEX6/14 SDIJX10/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The wing has some areas of light to medium wear/tarnish.
