ARTIFACT: Rare 1939 program for the Boston Symphony Orchestra's USS Squalus Memorial Benefit Concert at Little Boar's Head, New Hampshire on July 30th, 1939. The concert was on the Opera Field of the Estate of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Hobson. The program features photographs of USS Squalus, Admiral Cole, Lieutenant Naquin, a diagram of how lives were saved, period advertisements, and a photograph of the survivors.

VINTAGE: Circa 1939

SIZE: Approximately 12" in height and 9 1/4" in width

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper, ink, staples.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: "We Designed and Printed this Program - We Are Grateful for the Privilege - Hampton Publishing Company - Hampton, New Hampshire" on reverse of program.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Naval collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAEM90 LAGEX1/15 SLAHJX4/15 SAHJX05/19

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The program is in wonderful condition, light storage and handling, no rips, tears, or bends.
