ARTIFACT: Rare 1932 Donation Tinny for the "Liberation of Koblenz-Trier". The tinny depicts a swastika, rising sun motif. During the Nazi era, an amphitheatrical Thingplatz theatre was created in the palace forecourt, in March 1934 building materials were brought up from the Rhine and the theatre was dedicated by Mayor Otto Wittgen on 24 March 1935. After World War II, it was filled in with debris from the bombing of the city.

SIZE: 14/16" x 9/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a small German tinnie collection of which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX13 LACEX9/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The tinnie shows some light wear and has a handsome overall tarnish with a few tiny spots of oxidation.
